Other Events

The Heart City Bull Bash was started over 20 years ago to showcase bull power that was available to ranchers to improve their herds. The dream was to shut down Main Street in Valentine, Nebraska and fill it with pens of cattle. The "Main Event" has been held annually since and has continued to be a big hit for exhibitors and producers across the board. It has grown in size and continues to draw in large crowds.

Livestock Judging

There were over 100 individuals entered in the 2023 Bull Bash Livestock Judging Contest, which included local 4-H youth, FFA members from across the state and collegiate teams from several states including Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and California. There were eight different cattle classes for the competitors to judge.

The 2024 Livestock Judging is shaping up to be even better than last year's. It will be held on February 10 at the Valentine Livestock Auction. For more information on this event contact Brent at bnollette@vcsbadger.net.
